Undergraduate students interested in research
We are looking for undergraduate students who have completed BSC 4450L at FIU and are interested in a bioinformatics-biomedical research internship opportunity.
Undergraduate students interested in teaching
We are looking for undergraduate students who have completed BSC 4450L or BSC 4434 at FIU and interested in becoming a Bioinformatics Ambassador (BA) to assist in teaching bioinformatics to high school biology students.
Undergraduate students interested in research and mentoring
We are looking for undergraduate students who have completed BSC 4450L and are interested in joining our PRIMER program. PRIMERs are PeeR Investigators Mentoring Experiences in Research and work with students and the teaching teams for BSC 4450L and the research internship program.
For the undergraduate opportunities, Computational Biology of Emerging Infectious Disease (BSC 4450L) is a pre-req. If you are interested in these opportunities but have not taken BSC 4450L, there is still time. These projects will run until 2027.
